I need to get busy sewing bookoo butt-loads of cycling gear but wanted to pop in and say hey!
I have put my AccuQuilt Studio lust on hold. I just cannot justify the expense right now although I want it reeeally reeeally bad!
So I invested in another pair of sewing shears by Kai, that get good reviews and are supposed to be comfortable. We will see. I hope they arrive soon. { Dear Kai, you need a site redo…sorry, it made me feel like I was shopping on a 1990s site }

Here is my morning coffee a la my cell phone. The cookbook?? I am presently in Vegan Curious Mode. I love me my cheese and fish so I am not sure I could cross over to the other side. Vegan cheese just kinda sits there ya know?

I have made a decision. I think. Yeah, I’m sure now… I think.
I have decided to go with the AccuQuilt since it is made specifically for fabric. Since I work in fabric…duh that makes sense. I think I have entered {and lost} every AccuQuilt GO contest out there on the internet…but that is ok {keep telling yourself that} because what I reeeeeeeely NEED is the AQ Studio…the big one…the MOTHER of all die cutters. I have the need to have some custom dies made and only the Studio is capable of that. I have a Bicycle trade show next month and boy o boy would it come in handy to cut out my product. The Studio is on sale now but it still ain’t cheap and I am…not tawdry cheap…I mean moneywise…although rumors have spread before…anyhoo…
Is it worth the cost to be able to crank {ha! crank! get it??} out cut patterns quickly or should I just suffer through the blisters and aching hands?

Literally. These babies leave on their journey tomorrow to a Cyclist in the Midwest.
Made from a recycled wool suit and some stretch cotton knit. Done.
Now I can sew something QuiltYish.

I neglected to mention where I bought the fabric. Super buzzy, and their prices are the best on this fabric. Another site wanted $3.00 more per yard! Fun side note… hover over the different characters in Super Buzzy’s site header..they animate! I am easily amused.

I have requests for some feminine / girly hats. I am going to make them reversible. This is the prototype using up some fat quarters from the Ginger Blossom collection by Sandi Henderson for Michael Miller Fabrics {I think it’s last season’s} Not lovin’ my fabric combination and DUH I forgot to make the brim reversible . . . Eh, it is just the prototype . . . and I don’t have to marry it.
