I recently returned from a road trip. Before I left I went a little crazy sewing bags. I made a few with clasp frames and the classy Gathered Clutch from Noodlehead

I used the wristlet pattern from Elizabeth Hartman of Oh, Fransson! and some linen Echino Fabric by Etsuko Furuya, “Tiger On The Flower” that I have been hording… gulp…

The “Holda Buttload O’ Books” bookbag made it to my G O R G E O U S baby girl who is in Australia attending school. She sent me her modeling portfolio…heh.




Oh and that beautiful hard-to-describe gingery-coppery hair color is all hers. Never been touched by any color or chemicals.
Then of course she had to give me THE FACE… don’t know where she gets her snark from . . .

Then she blew me kisses. Sniff. I miss you Baby Girl . . .

Dating myself here… I loved the T.V. show TAXI. I loved the wisdom of “Reverend” Jim Ignatowski! “If you find yourself in a confusing situation, simply laugh knowingly and walk away.” Ahh such wisdom and I use it often.

I made it for a Dear Friend visiting from Seattle. She is in Austin for an Inn Keepers convention. She and her equally dear Husband run a wonderful Bed and Breakfast in the Capital Hill area, the Shafer Baillie Mansion

Here are the rest of the pictures of the tote/ knitter’s/ sewist’s/ carry-a-buttload-of-books /…BIG bag. It measures approximately 17 inches x 15 inches and the gusset is a generous 5 inches deep. Pockets inside and out. I will be taking custom orders soon.
