So why am I doing this?
Well I have spent years, many, many years raising my kids. The last 2 are now teenagers. I have always sewn. Their clothes. Their blankies. Gifts for others. Quilts for others. All given away and not photographed.
Sometimes I feel like I missed out on the Quilting / Sewists world because I was just too busy to participate beyond **business, utility and personal needs.
Do I regret it? Nope, not at all.
But now, now I am ready to get back in the game. Rotary cutters on guard! Bernina humming a sweet song. Trying to re-hone my skills.
I used to be great at free motion quilting. Yesterday I sat down at my machine to do some and ended up laughing at the result. Wasn’t pretty. It will happen.
There are soooo many new and talented and YOUNG quilters out there. I feel young. I think like I’m young. I’m hip. I sew to music ranging from Grieg to Green Day. I still haven’t grown up…but that darn AARP keeps trying to send me their magazines! No, I am no longer 25 and… I’m. Okay. With . That.
My passion for fiber and my artistic talents aren’t gone yet.
Watch out world! I’m feelin’ STITCHY!!
**( I designed machine embroidery designs and did some contract sewing in addition to graphic and web design)

Grr your blog keeps forgetting me. And gasp, I have to fill in the blanks myself.
I know exactly what you mean. EXACTLY. Although I took pictures I’m sure my stuff looks old and funky and eyerollable in comparison to some of the stuff today.
You are young… you are hip!.. and so am I. Now please pass the Tylenol.. after a full day in the yard and an evening painting I just want to die!
