Lucy! You Got Some ‘Splainin ta Do!

Yes I was out of town… but I was out of it blog-wise prior to leaving. The end of July beginning of August were…uh…let’s just say they were eventful, stressful and joyful.
Our dearest, sweetest friend fell 18 ft off a roof {he is an insurance adjuster like my Mr. Coffee}. He broke a LOT of places in his body (pelvis, back, ribs, etc.) and was in a coma for 10 days in addition to fighting various lung infections. Miracle of miracles! He was discharged from the hospital this past weekend. His cognitive skills in tact!
My Mother’s husband passed away suddenly. It was a very traumatic death and hard on my mother. Because of a lot of past pain and abuse I refer to him as my ‘mother’s husband’. I am sad for my mother. The event threw me a bit and tossed me around with memories and emotions I thought were gone. Ack! Life does sneak up on ya.
I had already purchased my plane ticket to my daughter’s and my mother and sister wanted me to continue on with my original plans. So I did. I had a wonderful time with my daughter and 3 of my wonderful grandbabies.

I’m home now. I am ready to get back into ‘normal’. I am sooooooooo ready for this awful TX heat to be gone and am longing for Autumn.
I made some pillow cases for those cute kids before I left. I used the wonderful tutorial at Moda Lissa. I haven’t done one with prairie points yet but plan to.
