It is so hot. Duh…it is TexAs and summer. I plopped myself in a chair that was in direct shot of a fan. Yes we have AC but it is very inefficient in a 1930′s house that has leaky windows and doors and no insulation.
Whilst plopped I put together some hexies. I was going to make a quilt with random hexes sewn together like this {isn’t it great?!}. Then I decided I wanted a Grandmother’s Flower Garden. I thought of doing one with the green hexes around each flower and then joined with neutral {like Switzerland?} hexes. But being ADD sidetracked lazy the ambitious person that I am, I think I have decided to get scrappy yet flowery. Think it will work??

It is so hot isn’t it?! I’m in Texas, too, and I try not to turn my A/C down too low so that I can actually afford to pay my electric bill each month. But I always fail to remember how much having the iron on to press seams really heats up my apartment
I think your hexes look great the way you have them laid out. It’s a more modern grandmother’s flower garden look, I think.
LOving it!!!!!!!… vey sexy hexies you have there!.. I myself and thinking some some hexies for a table runner. Did you cut your paper templates by hand or buy some. I have been cutting mine by hand but that is getting really old!.. really fast.
maddie
Love it. Any of them. I always admire the handwork.. I’m just not patient enough. Anyway 30′s house sounds like a dream, except for the whole practical stuff like a/c. I’ve always always wanted to live in an old house.
I think they look great! I have a slew of 1960′s hexes begging to be put together, I may just have to get going on that! can’t wait to see your finished piece!
