Otherwise known as a Tooty {tutorial} for Your Coffee Booty. Yeah I wrote that before my 2nd cup. Deleted it. Undeleted it.
Keeping with my nom de plume I offer up the Coffee side of me. I do not use a coffeemaker. I do it the old fashioned way…boil the water and pour it over the ground coffee while deeply breathing in the wafting vapors of caffeine promises. Mmm… allow me a moment. Okay, I’m back.
I use A #4 Cone Filter:

Wanting to keep my coffee carbon footprint low {ok, I ran out of filters} I whipped up a filter made from fabric. I used a loosely woven unbleached muslin and made my stitch length a wee bit longer. You want the coffee to brew and filter well but you do not want grounds or silt in your Cup O’ Joe.

I made the pattern to be cut on the fold so you only have to seam the bottom and one side. Organic fabric would be best…muslin, hemp or perhaps a woven bamboo. How do they get those branches of bamboo into a loom anyway?? Heh.
I made the pattern in Adobe Illustrator. You can download the PDF. DO NOT allow your printer to scale the size. This will print out full size on 8.5 x 11 inch paper
This is for your personal use. Please do not share, copy or sell. Enjoy!

Edited to add THIS! OK Pam how long has the “Come Around For Coffee” pattern been on your site? Have I been blind? Scroll down her blog’s right column for her pattern download. I do need me some more coffee. Oy!
Mmmmmm………

You clever girl!
I ran out of filters this morning but can’t go without coffee so I put one of my birdseye cloths in. It worked. I had a *lightbulb* moment. Then after searching found I was a little late on the moment lol. Thanks for the pattern! Now I don’t have to buy another pack of filters to make my own.
